Meet the owner: Lee Marcum
I’m Lee Marcum, and I’ve been roofing Atlanta homes since August 2008. LB Roofing & Construction is my business, my crew, and my reputation — and that means I’m on every project we take on. Not a sales rep. Not a subcontractor. Me.
That’s rare in the roofing industry. Most companies in Atlanta are run by people you’ll never meet, with crews that change job to job and warranties that disappear when the company sells. LB has been the same family-owned shop for 17 years, with the same standards and the same owner answering the phone.
How LB Roofing got here
August 2008 wasn’t exactly an easy time to start a construction business. The housing market was collapsing. National roofers were laying off crews. Most of the storm-chaser outfits that had been working Atlanta were packing up and moving on.
That’s exactly when LB Roofing opened its doors. The bet was simple: Atlanta homeowners would rather work with a local owner-operator who answered his own phone than with a national company funneling them to a sales rep. Seventeen years and thousands of roofs later, that bet is still paying off.
We’ve grown deliberately, not aggressively. We turn down work when we can’t do it well. We’ve never hired a salesperson. Every estimate is given by someone who’s actually going to be on your roof.

Lee is on every project — assessing damage, walking the roof with your insurance adjuster when needed, supervising the install, and doing the final walkthrough. You don’t get handed off to a junior estimator or a call center.
2. Manufacturer-certified, not just “experienced”
Three manufacturer certifications. Each one is a separate training program and a separate ongoing standard:
- Owens Corning Preferred Contractor — manufacturer-vetted installation crew, plus the ability to offer Owens Corning’s extended-warranty options on full replacements.
- GAF Authorized Installer — trained on GAF’s shingle systems and full-roof assemblies.
- CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator — CertainTeed’s top installer credential. Requires demonstrated proficiency across all CertainTeed shingle lines.
3. A 5-year workmanship warranty
Industry standard is 1 to 2 years. Ours is 5. If anything we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it — no questions, no fees.
4. $1 million in liability coverage
$1 million per occurrence and $1 million general aggregate. Full coverage for your home and our crew on every job. Certificate of insurance available on request before work begins.

No deposits. No "down payment to lock in pricing." You don’t pay a cent until your roof is finished and you’re satisfied with the work.
